MIAA is proudly located on beautiful Dharug country in Granville, Western Sydney.
The Museum of Islamic Art Australia (MIAA) respectfully acknowledges the Burramattagal people of the Dharug Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which the museum will be located. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded.

Museum Construction Update: Community Feedback

We appreciate your feedback and support!

Community Feedback Session

We recently held a community feedback session to gather input on the design of our new museum. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees sharing their ideas and suggestions. We believe that community involvement is crucial in creating a space that truly represents our collective identity.

Design Features

The proposed design includes interactive exhibits, educational spaces, and areas for community events. We aim to create an inclusive environment that welcomes visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

"Your voice matters in shaping the future of our museum."

We will continue to host sessions and surveys to ensure that everyone has a chance to contribute to this exciting project. Thank you for being a part of this journey!
