On Sunday 8 February, participants gathered at ISRA Academy Sydney for a 3 hour Ramadan Journal Binding Workshop, thoughtfully facilitated by Sister Aiten from MAKN Studio. The afternoon offered a welcoming environment centred on creativity, reflection and community.

Each participant handcrafted a unique Ramadan journal from the ground up, selecting materials, stitching bindings and assembling pages. Guided prompts for reflection, du‘a, gratitude and personal growth were incorporated to support spiritual preparation for the coming month.

More than a skills based workshop, the session invited participants to slow down and engage in intentional making. We look forward to hosting more meaningful craft and cultural programs in the future, inshaAllah.
